Our New Project

OUR NEW PROJECT

At our meeting on 18th October 2011 we had a presentation from one of the directors of Zespół Szkól NR1 w Sopocie which is located at ul. Książat Pomorskiek 16-18 in Sopot. This school has over 500 pupils and more than 20% of the children are from underprivileged backgrounds and dysfunctional families. She appealed to our club for assistance in providing these underprivileged children with school meals, text books and winter clothing. The Club immediately decided to assist the school and gave an immediate donation of PLN10,000 to the Parent/Teachers Association to spend the money on these very needy children. The school also needs a media projector which will cost approximately PLN10,000 and we are seeking a sponsor to fund this requirement.

He made a first class presentation and obviously enjoyed his year studying in the States. He presented the Club with banners from two of his host families Rotary Clubs

Each state in the USA has the right to mint its own quarters. Krzysztof's mother and father, as a measure of their appreciation for the club sponsoring Krzysztof for the scholarship, presented the Club with a special boxed set of American quarters. This boxed set of coins will be auctioned at the forthcoming Annual Ball on 21st January 2012
